What Every 21st Century Parent Needs to Know
A talk on how to face today’s parenting challenges, from stress and self-esteem, to Internet safety and cell phones, to achievement, bullying, depression, drugs, sex, and abstinence. Covers: how to be an “Affirming Parent;” the myth of the overscheduled generation; physical and mental health issues; facts vs. fears; and more. 

This talk can be tailored to the ages of parents’ children.


From Diapers to Dating
A talk for parents on how to educate your child about sexuality, and share your values. Covers: how children learn about sexuality, how to find and use “teachable moments;” providing age appropriate information about anatomy, reproduction, gender roles, and controversial topics; preparing for puberty; and more.

This talk can be given for parents of children of all ages, a pre-school version, an elementary school version, or a middle-school version.


Beyond the Big Talk
A talk for parents on how to educate your pre-teen and teen about sexuality, help them make responsible decisions, and share your values. Covers: finding “teachable moments;” adolescent development; peer pressure; dating; parties; alcohol and drugs; abstinence and contraception; preparing for college; and more.

This talk can be given for parents of children ages 10 to 18, in a middle school version or a high school version.


Sexuality & Religion – What’s the Connection?
In addition to being a parent, I’m a minister and sexologist. In this talk, I explore the connection between sexuality, religion, and spirituality.
